Botanical Garden:
Digvijai Nath P.G College Gorakhpur affiliated to D.D.U Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur has established a beautiful botanical garden in the east campus of the college by the Department of Botany,which was earlier initiated by the college Principal Dr S.P Singh.It is largest botanical garden of Gorakhpur. It is situated at centre place of Gorakhpur near D.D.U. Gorakhpur University Gorakhpur. It was formerly known as Botanic Garden. The Botanic Garden has established in golden year of the college with the help of Associate professor Dr Parikshit Singh and Assistant Professor Sri Dharamchand Vishwakarma in session 2018-19 The garden occupies an area of 3600 Sqft. It has nearly 150 live specimens including a large collection of bamboos, cycads and palms. It has two large green houses, several nurseries and special collections of Bougainvillea, Jasminum and Nymphea. In the garden plants are grouped on geographical basis i.e. the typical plants of particular country are planted in a particular area and are growing in harmony with the climatic conditions congenial to them. The Superintendent of the Botanic Garden, Gorakhpur, is, Dr Parikshit Singh, Associate Professor, Dept. of Botany, DNPG Gkp, under whose guidance and control the botanical explorations of the College Empire are carried on by the staff of college.
The Conservatory with large number of shade-loving species is situated in the garden. The space outside to its left and on the front side has been used in planting bulbous plants.
